Patrick DeHeer

DPM

As a board-certified podiatrist and pediatric specialist, Patrick A. DeHeer, DPM can help with the most complex of foot and ankle ailments. Dr. DeHeer is in private practice and cares for patients at Hoosier Foot & Ankle. After earning his doctor of podiatric medicine degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Dr. DeHeer went through his residency in podiatric surgery at Winona Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis. He then completed a fellowship in foot and ankle arthroscopy. Dr. DeHeer is double board certified through the ABPS, specializing in foot surgery, as well as reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. He holds professional memberships with the APMA, the ACFAP, and the ACFAS. He is the team podiatrist for the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever.Dr. DeHeer is the founder of Step-by-Step Haiti and Foot Aid a medical missionary with 25 trips worldwide and won the Humanitarian Award from the APMA in 2011 and was honored again in 2014 by the FIP.

Brad Abicht

DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Abicht is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon practicing for over a decade at Gundersen Health System (GHS) in La Crosse, WI. He is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and currently serves as department chair for the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Department at Gundersen Health System. Dr. Abicht is actively involved in medical education, medical leadership, as well as research with regular publications in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. Additionally, he serves on the editorial board for multiple journals. Dr. Abicht is a leading surgeon innovator within the foot and ankle space, with particular interests in percutaneous and MIS techniques as well as emerging technologies that advance patient care. He regularly lectures nationally and internationally on related foot and ankle topics. Outside of work, he enjoys spending as much time as he can with his wife and two sons.

Brian Loder

DPM, CWS, FACFAS

Dr. Loder is considered by some, as one of the top Podiatric Surgeons in Michigan. He completed his surgical training at St. Johns Hospital in 1995 and has been board certified in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery for over 20 years. He served as Chief of Staff at Henry Ford Hospital for 6 years and continues to be involved in multiple hospital committees to ensure high-quality patient care for our hospital's patients. In addition to being Chief of Staff, he was the founder of the Podiatric Surgical Training Program at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital and continues to be the residency director. Dr. Loder is also the Medical Director of the Henry Ford Macomb Hospital ‘Wound Care Center’ and treats patients there 2 days per week. Dr. Brian Loder continues to be a leader in education, traveling around the United States, and lecturing to Physicians on Podiatric Surgical Principles. He continues to produce valuable research enhancing ‘overall’ care in his profession.

Brian Burgess

DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Brian Burgess is a board-certified podiatric surgeon who specializes in foot and ankle surgery. His treatment philosophy stresses conservative management and an evidence-based approach to surgical intervention when indicated. Prior to surgery, Dr. Burgess uses a variety of conservative techniques including injections, bracing, orthotics and physical therapy. With an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques, he frequently returns his patients to an active lifestyle in a quick and safe manner.

Dr. Burgess is well-trained in all aspects of the foot and ankle and has a special interest in minimally invasive bunion correction, minimally invasive fracture repair, Achilles tendon disorders, acute and chronic ankle sprains, ankle arthroscopy, heel pain treatment, orthotic therapy, sports-related injuries and trauma/fractures of the foot and ankle.

Dr. Burgess received his podiatry degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 2009 and his bachelor’s degree, with honors, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Burgess completed a three-year podiatric surgical residency in trauma and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Burgess is actively involved with medical education. He is the Fellowship Director of Hinsdale Orthopaedics (IBJI) Foot and Ankle Fellowship. He is actively involved within The College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons where he dedicates considerable time training medical students, residents and experienced surgeons. He frequently lectures nationwide and is an invited faculty at advanced ankle arthroscopy courses and annual scientific conferences.

Christopher P Miller

MD

Dr. Christopher Miller was raised in New Haven, Connecticut. An avid athlete his whole life, he attended the University of Pennsylvania for undergraduate education where he was a varsity letterman. He graduated with honors and pursued his medical school education at Yale University School of Medicine where he graduated with his MD and a Masters in Health Science. He was active in research throughout his medical school and published on biomechanics and clinic outcomes of fusion procedures.

After finishing his undergraduate medical education, he continued his Orthopaedic Surgery residency training at Yale New Haven Hospital. During this time he found that his true clinical interest lay in the care of complex foot and ankle conditions. He then worked at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Harvard Foot and Ankle Surgery Fellowship. Since finishing, the fellowship has expanded to include surgical training at Beth Israel and he now teaches fellows along side the mentors who taught him.

Following his fellowship training, he moved to Beth Israel and the New England Baptist Hospital where he is currently in practice. He is on the faculty of the Harvard Medical School and is active in clinical care, research and teaching.  Dr. Miller has given lectures on advanced surgical techniques and often educates other surgeons to help advance their clinical care as well. He cares for all aspects of the foot and ankle and is actively involved in limb salvage and amputation prevention efforts for this patients.

One of the most exciting parts of Dr. Miller’s practice is bringing new skills to perform complex procedures via minimally invasive techniques. This can improve patient outcomes, and decrease post-operative pain and scarring. The majority of his practice now revolves around minimally invasive surgery and he is a local leader in the field.

Noman Siddiqui

DPM, MHA, FACFAS

Noman A. Siddiqui, DPM, MHA, serves as Director of Podiatric Surgery at the International Center for Limb Lengthening and Chief of Podiatry at Northwest Hospital. He is a board-certified foot and ankle deformity correction surgeon who specializes in the treatment of foot, ankle and lower leg conditions in children and adults.

He also treats ankle disorders, sports injuries, ankle and foot arthritis, flat feet, bunions, hammer toes, peripheral neuropathy, ankle replacements and Charcot foot deformity. Dr. Siddiqui has extensive training in Charcot foot deformity correction and circular external fixation for deformity correction and other complex foot and ankle disorders. He is also actively involved in resident training and focuses on continual education in the latest foot and ankle treatments.

Dr. Siddiqui attended Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago where he received a dual degree as a Doctor in Podiatric Medicine and a Masters in Health Administration. He completed his surgical residency training at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania, under the tutelage of Dr. Guido LaPorta. Dr. Siddiqui completed a fellowship in foot and ankle deformity correction at the International Center for Limb Lengthening of the Rubin Institute of Advanced Orthopedics and is currently the fellowship director of the program.

Dr. Siddiqui sees patients at Sinai Hospital and at LifeBridge Health at Foundry Row in Owings Mills. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, watching movies and golfing. Dr. Siddiqui and his lovely wife and children reside in Northern Baltimore.

Raquel Sugino

DPM, MS, FACFAS

Dr. Sugino is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon specializing in comprehensive reconstruction of the foot and ankle. She is board certified in foot and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS).

Dr. Sugino advanced her surgical and clinical training by completing an additional year of fellowship at the Newport Advanced Foot & Ankle Fellowship in Newport Beach, CA. Her training focused on reconstructive forefoot, hindfoot and ankle surgery, including complex Charcot reconstructions utilizing Ilizarov external fixators, limb deformity correction, lower extremity trauma, sports medicine, total ankle replacement, and plastics procedures including advanced muscle, adipofascial and skin flaps for limb salvage.

Prior to fellowship, Dr. Sugino completed a three-year podiatric surgical residency at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, IL where she trained at the prestigious Weil Foot & Ankle Institute. Simultaneously, she completed a Dermatopathology Fellowship that specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of numerous skin and soft tissue disorders including skin cancer with Bako Pathology in Alpharetta, GA. She received her medical education from Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Sugino grew up in Wailuku, HI and received her B.S. in Biology, Minor in Music, and M.S. in Molecular Biology Infectious Disease from University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA.

Dr. Sugino has been very active in research throughout her training, and she has multiple awards for her work. She is a speaker at many conferences around the country, and she is an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) and the American Microsurgical Orthoplastic Society (AMOS).

Dr. Sugino is recognized as a devoted patient advocate who focuses on advancing patient care through research, education, and treating patients like family. She incorporates evidence-based medicine and the most advanced treatments and technologies specific to each patient. Her passion in research and remaining current on the latest studies has a large influence on how she guides individualized patient care.

Dr. Sugino enjoys training for marathons, soccer, hiking, camping, surfing, rock climbing, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Jason, and their rescue dog, Foxy.

Amiethab Aiyer

MD

Amiethab Aiyer, M.D., is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in treating patients with foot and ankle conditions, such as fractures, deformities, and ligament and tendon tears. He is skilled in minimally invasive bunion correction, Achilles tendon rupture repair, as well as ankle reconstruction and replacement.

Dr. Aiyer is the division chief of foot and ankle surgery in the Johns Hopkins Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

He completed his medical training at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. During his fourth year of medical school, Dr. Aiyer completed a research fellowship at the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute, also in Philadelphia. He then completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

During the residency, Dr. Aiyer received multiple awards, including the Alan Levine Orthopaedic Graduate Medical Education Scholarship from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). He has also been selected to present at the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation Resident Research Symposium and as an American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) Emerging Leader. In his final year of residency, he received the Gold Humanism Resident Teacher Award.

Dr. Aiyer went on to complete a research and clinical fellowship at the Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore. As a researcher, he is currently investigating diagnosis, surgical treatments and patient outcomes for bunions, Achilles tendon ruptures, ankle arthritis, ankle trauma and other conditions affecting the foot and ankle. His research encompasses clinical, basic science and biomechanical studies. He has presented his research at numerous conferences held by the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society, AAOS and other professional organizations of which he is a member. He is a fellow of the AAOS and AOA, and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Along with special interests in clinical practice and multiple facets of orthopaedic foot and ankle research, he is passionate about teaching residents and medical students; he has been mentoring medical students for several years. Dr. Aiyer has been recognized for his commitment to education with multiple teaching and faculty educator awards, and he is working with other orthopaedic surgeons to develop a nationwide push for medical student mentorship. Using social media platforms, he co-founded the @orthomentor Instagram account to provide students with easy access to mentorship and advising.

Corine Leigh Creech

DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Corine Creech is a board-certified podiatric surgeon at Inova. She specializes in surgical intervention of the foot and ankle, with a wide range of interests including correction of bunions and hammertoes, tendon disorder repair, complex deformity correction, limb salvage, trauma care, arthritis prevention and repair, and total ankle replacement.

Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Creech completed her podiatric medical education at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed her residency training at Temple University Hospital, a large, inner-city Level 1 Trauma Center, where she underwent extensive training in foot and ankle surgery and reconstruction.

Dr. Creech is a national and international lecturer on minimally invasive surgical solutions for bunions and hammertoes, Achilles damage and trauma, fractures, and arthritis. She has authored numerous textbook chapters and articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Creech is passionate about education and research. She is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the Journal of the American Podiatric Medicine Association. She serves on Inova Fairfax Medical Campus’s foot and ankle surgery residency training committee and as the program’s research director.

Having gone through several lower extremity surgeries herself, as well as competing as a Division I college athlete, Dr. Creech offers a unique and compassionate approach to patient care and recovery. She is passionate about patient care and communication.

Dr. Creech is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where she also played varsity soccer for four years.

Kelsey Millonig

DPM, MPH, FACFAS

Dr. Kelsey Millonig is a fellowship trained foot and ankle surgeon and is elated to serve the people of her home state, Iowa. She is passionate about improving patient outcomes in foot and ankle surgery with innovative techniques, research, and leadership. Dr. Millonig offers expertise in minimally invasive surgery (bunions, hammertoes, flatfoot), limb deformity correction and lengthening(clubfoot, congenital defects, brachymetatarsia, or traumatic deformity), orthoplastic reconstruction (soft tissue injury), nerve injury, charcot neuroarthropathy, arthritis, total ankle replacement, and traumatic injuries. With her extensive athletic background she also enjoys treating athletes with sports injuries allowing them resume competitive activity.

Dr. Tristan Meusnier

Tristan Meusnier is a French surgeon working at the Clinique Saint-Charles in Lyon, France. He is a specialist in foot and ankle surgery with extensive expertise in percutaneous hallux valgus surgery using the Pecaplasty® Jig developed by Novastep. He is a member of SOFCOT, AFCP, EFAS and MIFAS.

Peter Lam

MD

Dr Peter Lam is a nationally and internationally recognised orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon. He has particular expertise in sports related injuries of the foot and ankle including the latest techniques in minimally invasive surgery (MIS) for the correction of bunions and certain forefoot deformities and arthritis of the big toe metatarsophalangeal joint. He also offers ligament reconstruction, realignment surgery and treatment of ankle/hindfoot arthritis.
